According to the US Census Bureau, the City of Winston-Salem is made up of 14.6% Hispanic residents. That means there are over 35,000 Latinos living in Winston-Salem, NC…

For perspective, the City of Kernersville has a little over 23,000 residents total. The Latin American population in Winston-Salem makes up about the size of a small city!

Our resources, institutions, and infrastructures need to reflect the size and needs of our population.

The Jennifer E. Castillo Foundation was established as a direct response to the growing need for support services among the Latin-American community in Winston-Salem, NC. We understand the unique struggles of the Latinx community in accessing community services, and we hope to eliminate some of those barriers. We provide community outreach and support services in both English and Spanish. We also establish many opportunities for civic engagement and encourage entrepreneurship and volunteerism. We are continuously establishing new partnerships and collaborations to better serve the needs of the vulnerable in our community.

Our mission is to promote entrepreneurship, civic engagement and philanthropical opportunities among the Latinx community

Our vision is an empowered group of individuals active in their communities through entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and civic engagement.

We value hard work and dedication, and we believe that with the right support systems in place, our participants can achieve financial stability and personal well-being, thus carrying out our motto of Hope, Strength, and Kindness!

Welcome to our journey! Together we can build community leaders and prosperous communities!
