Volunteer Clubs

We adopt several philanthropy projects throughout the year, and we invite members of the community to join any of our bilingual volunteer clubs in support of our many initiatives. We choose to support causes or organizations that are not generally covered through the traditional aid methods. If your agency or group has a cause you would like considered, please contact us! We love to put together fun family activities for our community members to participate in!

The Fairy Godmothers NC

This is a service club in support of high school seniors currently in the foster care system or those recently aged out. Projects include making gift baskets and posters for birthdays, holidays, graduations, and other supportive occasions.

Empresarias Elite

This is a networking and service club for female business owners of Latinx descent. Members develop philanthropy projects and learn about volunteer opportunities and Board openings throughout our community. Guest speakers are invited to attend our monthly socials.

In 2020, I had the opportunity to participate in the Festival for the Homeless, as a sponsor for the Kids Zone at the local Salvation Army family shelter. I arrived with new toys and craft sets that had been put together in gift bags by our Cultural Kids Club. We also donated hula hoops, basketballs, and footballs. Many kids asked if they could keep the balls. The look of both excitement and disbelief in their faces was indescribable. It hit me that these children had to leave their belongings behind, most likely including their toys, once they lost their housing… and when you lose your housing you lose your sense of belonging. Hopefully, being able to give these children something that belongs solely to them can help restore their sense of belonging in this world. We are now annual sponsors of the Kid Zone at the Festival for the Homeless. When we show we care, we ignite a spark, and spread hope, strength, and kindness in this world.
